Montreal Independent Film Festival (MIFF) was founded in the spirit of independent filmmaking, creativity, and discovery for independent international and Canadian shorts and features of all genres. The monthly festival recognizes the best of the month in various international and Canadian categories. All the monthly winners are also credited on IMDb and promoted through MIFF on social media and various platforms. All the award winners and honorable mentions are further considered for the annual festival and screening with cash awards, promotions and bonuses for independent filmmakers and artists from all over the world. The festival has received a record number of submissions in the past year and is known as one of the most popular and visionary festivals by FilmFreeway.
Baraheni, the artistic director of the festival finalized the decision with the jury of film scholars, filmmakers, critics and distributors on February 3rd 2021. It is our pleasure to announce the latest winners of the Montreal Independent Film Festival in Toronto Film Magazine.
