A model, Frankie, is sent home from a photoshoot. On the walk home she is mutilated, given the infamous ‘Glasgow smile’; a scar from ear to ear.
Frankie becomes a symbol of empowerment for young women as she is convinced by Michael, her cunning manager, to return to the modeling industry. However, her scars catch on, with a powerful movement soon turning into a sick beauty trend. Michael exploits this, and she is left with a choice- to leave an awful industry or conform to a horrifying new trend.
